Doucette, Leighton win RSU 18 seatsOAKLAND - Incumbent Donna Doucette won a sixth term on an Oakland-based school board Tuesday, and Doreen Leighton won a three-way race for a one-year term on the Regional School Unit 18 board of directors. Doucette easily defeated Zlatko Necevski, 1,837-390, to keep her position on the RSU 18 board. She had served for five terms on the School Administrative District 47 board, prior to consolidation. Leighton also won easily. She got 1,089 votes to 601 for Lawrence Folsom, a former SAD 47 director. Cathy McKelway, who took the position to fill a vacancy in August, got 518 votes.
