Hospital: New air ambulance saves lives

BRUNSWICK  — Brunswick hospital officials say a new helipad is saving lives.

Since
the new helipad opened two months ago at the Parkview Adventist Medical
Center the LifeFlight helicopter has landed seven times.

Parkview President Ted Lewis says three patients are alive today because of the air ambulance.

One of those patients was a hospital employee.

Lewis says the patient was suffering a stroke and was rushed to a larger hospital for successful treatment.

But WGME-television says some neighbors of the landing pad aren't happy.

Some
of those neighbors are concerned the flight path of the helicopter
comes too close to their homes and they're worried about possible
crashes in their neighborhood.
