Jail supervisor fired for practical jokesAUBURN — An Androscoggin County jail supervisor is out of a job after being fired for on the job pranks that included duct-taping a worker to a chair and putting another worker in a choke hold. Sheriff Guy Desjardins said the actions of Cpl. Patrick Gorham put at risk the security of workers and inmates. County Commissioners voted 2-1 Wednesday after a 45-minute executive session to accept Desjardins' recommendation to fire Gorham. The Lewiston Sun Journal says another supervisor resigned after the September duct-taping incident came to light and an officer was suspended without pay for a week.
