
Vets get free entry on park's last dayThe Maine Wildlife Park will close for the 2009 season at 5 p.m. Nov. 11, Veteran's Day. Park admission will be free on that day for Maine military personnel and veterans, said the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. The park will be open daily from 9:30 a.m. through Veteran's Day, with over 30 species of native wildlife on display, plus wildlife gardens, nature trails, and other interactive exhibits and displays. Regular admission to the park is free for ages 3 and under; $5 for ages 5-12; $7 for adults and $5 for seniors. Groups of 15 or more are $3.50 per person. 2010 Wildlife Park Season Passes are now available, online and by credit card, and may be purchased through the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife's online store.
